Math - enVision Math

enVisionmath Next Generation Learning Standards is a comprehensive mathematics curriculum for Grades K-5. It offers the flexibility of print, digital, or blended instruction. enVision math provides the focus, coherence, and rigor of the Common Core State Standards. Project-based learning, visual learning strategies, and extensive customization options empower every teacher and student.

 

Algebra for All

The Algebra for All Initiative, one of the eight Equity and Excellence initiatives that were launched in 2015-16, spans grades 5-10 and is designed to improve student readiness for Algebra 1 and high school math instruction. Research has established that students who successfully pass Algebra and graduate from college, and the Algebra for All Initiative will support teachers to be successful in teaching coursework that is essential for algebra success.

 

Literacy - HMH Into Reading/HMH Into Writing

Into Reading for New York City | Into Writing for New York City was designed to create a welcoming and affirming environment to ensure all students see themselves in the literature they are reading. HMH is dedicated to creating relevant, respectful, and meaningful content that reflects our diverse world and empower students as agents of social change. 

 

Science - Amplify Science

Amplify Science blends hands-on investigations, literacy-rich activities, and interactive digital tools to empower students to think, read, write, and argue like real scientists and engineers.

Passport to Social Studies

The NYCDOE K-8: Passport to Social Studies program is a comprehensive instructional resource that integrates the New York State K-8 Social Studies Framework to support strong social studies teaching and learning.

 

Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship

Designed and developed in partnership with Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education -- and guided by research with thousands of educators -- each digital citizenship lesson takes on real challenges and digital dilemmas that students face today, giving them the skills they need to succeed as digital learners, leaders, and citizens tomorrow.

 

Computer Science for All

Through CS4All, NYC students will learn to think with the computer, instead of using computers to simply convey their thinking. Students will learn computational thinking, problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking. They will also learn to collaborate and build relationships with peers, communicate and create with technologies, and to better understand technologies we interact with daily.

 

Civics for All

Civics education is an essential part of every student's core academic program.  The DOE believes that reaching the foundations of American government and the democratic process is necessary to build a more engaged, active future citizen and informed voter.
